Wow! It is amazing the peace we have this time around. Cannon's pre-op went well and he was such a brave little guy when they drew his blood. He even told me afterwards, "that didn't hurt at all".
He has been asking questions again about the surgery, I am so thankful to be able to talk to him without breaking down emotionally as was the case a couple weeks ago.
We will be heading to the 17th floor of Texas Children's this morning to be there by 6 am for a start time of 7 am. We are still looking at a 12-14 hour surgery. Prayerfully we will be able to see the little guy about 7 pm or so.
I pray that God will prepare our hearts and minds for the unknown of today, tomorrow, and the many days of recovery. That He will continue to give us wisdom and guidance through this journey as we begin.
