Moving Along

Time sure is moving along so I guess we have to as well. Things have been a constant change in our house since our new addition. It was a very busy summer with Cannon's procedure and the birth of our little princess. We are glad to have it all behind us now. It will all be a fading memory very quickly. Thank goodness for blogs. :0
With all glory to God, Cannon has fully recovered and is running around with a new lease on life. It's as if he has had tons of energy bottled up for 6 years he finally gets to use it.  One of the many funny memories I recall since his procedure are the times when he would be sitting in the living room and out of no where belt out with this strange laugh. There were times I actually became a little concerned because it would come out at the strangest times and for no apparent reason and more often over time. After some thought and discussing it with Marc we have determined that it is just the "new" Cannon. He feels so much better and has so much joy. Marc described it as when you have a great day or you have just received some really good news, you just want to yell from a mountain top or you start singing songs of praise as loud as you can. It is so sweet to see such a miracle performed right before our eyes. God is sweet! Since I have been a Christian there were times, before now of course, that I have said I have never really witnessed a true miracle from God. As I have grown closer in my walk I have seen God performing them but nothing to this magnitude and I am so thankful to get to witness one of this magnitude. It's pretty cool to think that He has greater ones too.
Colton and Cannon are both adjusting to their new schedules this year. Cannon was acknowledged for "A" honor roll at school for the first six weeks. We were not able to get Colton into the daycare center near the elementary school so he is going to a place in town. He and daddy get up every morning and get ready together. Daddy takes him into town on his way to work. Colton really seems to enjoy the one on one time he gets to spend with his daddy. I know daddy likes it too. Cannon gets to sleep in a little longer before Scout and I take him to school. Scout is having some trouble getting her days and nights down. I can't say that I can blame her. Since I have been working from home, I need her to sleep during the day so I can get my work done. She doesn't mind it but then at night, our price is paid. Daddy also has to pay. He has been great at switching shifts with me. It really helps.
It's hard to believe Scout is already going on two months. We will go to her check up this week and see how well she is growing. She is definitely HEAVY! She likes to eat. Other than her sleep habits she is a sweet baby. She is beginning to notice more things and faces so she will smile more now. I love her smile. We have been praying for a temporary child care for her until she is six months, at this time we will be able to put her into the same place as Colton. Until then it would be nice to have someone watch her so she can be more awake during the day and I can focus on work. I am going to be sad to lose our bonding times during the day but it will  happen eventually.  :(
We are excitedly awaiting our first niece on the King side to bless us with her presence. Carrie and Jason will soon be the new parents of a beautiful baby girl. Baby Girl Snider is due on October 24th. We are praying for a safe delivery and healthy baby in God's perfect time. She and Scout will be the best of cousins. We can't wait to get to see them soon too.
Cannon and Colton are excited about Halloween coming up. They have already got their costumes and have been wearing them all over the house. Cannon will be a Ninja and Colton is Captain of America (that's Colton's way of saying it).

I hope you are all doing well!

Thanks for checking in.

In His Love,
The Kings
